The Types Of Carpet Stain Removal Service We Provide:
–Red wine: Red wine is an acidic drink that can cause a lot of damage to your carpet. To remove this type of stain, we recommend using white vinegar mixed with water on the spot. Let it sit for 15 minutes before blotting up any excess liquid or applying a cleaning agent such as dish soap or laundry detergent to help loosen the fibers and dissolve stains. Rinse by extracting some moisture from the area with towels soaked in clean water followed by dry towel shreds applied over wet spots.
-Coffee: If you are prone to spilling coffee onto your carpets, make sure you have something there like baking soda ready when they happen so you can immediately start soaking up what’s spilled!
-Olive oil: If you have some sort of olive oil spillage on your carpet, make a paste with baking soda and water then apply it to the spot. Let it sit for 15 minutes before blotting up any excess liquid or applying a cleaning agent such as dish soap or laundry detergent to help loosen the fibers and dissolve stains. Rinse by extracting some moisture from the area with towels soaked in clean water followed by dry towel shreds applied over wet spots.
-Milk: Depending on how fresh your milk spill is, use white vinegar mixed with cold water on the spot first. If that’s not working well enough, try using warm soapy water too!
-Rotten eggs (egg yolk): Rinse off egg residue from your carpet as soon as possible after an accident has taken place! First use dish soap mixed in some cool water to dissolve any dried egg matter left on your carpets and then extract it by squeezing out excess moisture into terry towel strips.
-Grease Stains: Grease stains can be treated with detergent or dish soap mixed in water. Rub the spot until it’s gone!
-Dirt: Dirt should be vacuumed up first and then try a carpet cleaner like our own Oasis Carpet Cleaner to take care of any remaining dirt stain left on your carpets.
-Stains from pets (urine, vomit): Use distilled white vinegar for pet urine spots and diarrhea stains while using hydrogen peroxide for other types of pet accidents that have occurred such as vomiting, etcetera. If you need help identifying what type of liquid has come out onto your carpeting before trying these remedies, use a black light to find out which type of stain it is.
Water-soluble carpet stains that can also be removed by our service are:
-Soda (pop): Use baking soda mixed in water to scrub out excess sugary residue left behind by that can of pop you had while watching TV last night. Rub this mixture into the stained area until all gone!
-Tea: Tea leaves are notoriously difficult to clean up so call us first at Oasis Carpet Cleaning Service instead.
-Wax: Pour some ice cubes over the wax spill and scrape it off with a butter knife. Apply an all-purpose cleaner to remove any leftover residue, then blot dry with rags or paper towels.
-Gum: Scrape gum from carpeting using your fingernail to pick at pieces of it until you can peel them up in one piece (or use our service). Use hairspray on the remaining spot for extra help! If necessary, scrub the stained area clean before applying a fresh coat of hairspray.
